I’m beyond excited to announce that Lemon is live! 🎉

Hello! Matt here, CEO at Lemon, the financing platform built for SaaS sales teams. We’ve gone and done it - Lemon is open for business!

If you’re reading this and wondering, “What’s Lemon all about?” - let me give you the quick rundown.

SaaS sales teams often lose deals because customers hesitate over large upfront costs. Lemon changes that.

So, What Does Lemon Do?

Lemon is a financing platform that empowers SaaS sales teams to close bigger deals by allowing them to offer customers flexible monthly payments for annual and multi-year plans. We believe software should be both accessible and affordable, not held back by daunting upfront costs.

With Lemon, SaaS companies get paid upfront, while their customers get the flexibility to spread the cost over multiple payments. It’s a win-win all around.

Earlier this year, we raised a £500k pre-seed round. That gave us the boost we needed to build, refine, and make Lemon a reality. And now, we’re finally ready to bring it to you. How does it work?

So, how does Lemon make all this magic happen?

When closing a deal, a SaaS provider can offer the option to pay over time with flexible monthly payments instead of paying the whole cost upfront. They can also offer the annual/multi-year discount, even though the buyer will be paying monthly! Once the deal is signed, Lemon pays the provider the full contract value upfront. This boosts cash flow, reduces churn and results in a more engaged customer. The buyer gets access to the software and enjoys the flexibility of spreading payments over time.

How we’re different

Unlike other startups that offer B2B financing or “buy now, pay later” options, we don’t lend from our own balance sheet. Instead, we partner with trusted funders who provide the actual financing.

This approach offers several advantages:

  • No debt burden: Since we’re not lending our own money, we don’t carry the weight of debt. This keeps us agile and focused on what we do best—helping SaaS providers close bigger deals, faster.
  • Scalability: Partnering with established funders allows us to handle larger deal volumes without capital constraints, making it easier to grow alongside your business.
